Dan Carroll
PT, FAAOMPT
Physical Therapist
I was raised in Rockaway, NJ and attended Morris Hills High School and then the University of Scranton. Shortly after graduation, I enrolled in a manual therapy certification program with the Manual Therapy Institute. I then completed their AAOMPT credentialled Manual Therapy Fellowship. I later became certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation via the American Institute of Balance (AIB).
I have always worked in private practice. I began my career with a larger private corporate group and quickly found their approach to patient care did not align with my core values. From there, I moved from private practice to private practice until I found one that was well-run and aligned with my values. The owner of that practice served as a mentor for me and helped me open my own practice. I am happy to be in business serving my community for over 10 years.

My goal is to make patients’ concerns less complex and empower them to take an active approach to getting better.
I aim to simplify the PT process for patients. All too often we over complicate things unnecessarily. PT should be simple: Move that which is stiff. Strengthen/condition that which is weak. Stabilize that which is less controlled. If I follow this approach and explain a patient’s concerns from this view point, it empowers patients so that they can actively participate in the process of getting better.
There is no specific condition I enjoy treating – It’s not the condition that is enjoyable, it’s the patient who is committed to the process that makes it fun.
I enjoy owning and working at Carroll Physical Therapy because of the autonomy and control it grants me. Both allow me the ability to make the best decisions for my patients, my colleagues, my business, and my family.
When I’m not treating patients, I enjoy family time–fishing, boating, hiking, etc. with my wife, two children and dog Reilly (who is in training to be our in-office therapy dog). I also enjoy playing sports with my kids and coaching youth sports.
