Accessibility Statement

Our commitment to a website that works for everyone, what we've done about it, and how to reach us if something doesn't.

Built to work for every patient who visits it.

Carroll Physical Therapy is committed to making carrollpt.com usable by as many people as possible, including patients who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard alone, magnify their screen, or rely on other assistive technology. Our goal for this site is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the same standard referenced in the HHS Section 504 rule and commonly used as the benchmark for ADA Title III compliance.

Measures we've taken. Every page was reviewed against WCAG 2.1 AA before launch: semantic landmarks and heading structure, a skip-to-content link, keyboard-reachable navigation including the dropdown menus and mobile menu, visible focus indicators throughout, labeled and keyboard-operable forms with clear required-field marking, descriptive alternative text on every meaningful image, sufficient color contrast on text and interface elements, and full support for reduced-motion preferences on every animated element. We tested with automated tooling (axe-core) and by navigating the site with a keyboard alone, and we do this again whenever the site changes in a meaningful way.

Ongoing review. Accessibility is not a one-time fix. We re-check this site whenever we add a page or change a template, and we treat an accessibility report the same way we treat a bug report: it gets investigated and fixed.

Known limitations. The Google Reviews widget embedded on the homepage (provided by a third party, Elfsight) and the Google Maps location embeds on our contact pages are built and maintained outside our codebase, so we cannot directly modify their internal markup. We have verified both remain operable by keyboard. If you run into a barrier in either one, use the contact information below and we'll help you directly, by phone or by pointing you to the same information in a different format.

Technical specifications. Accessibility of carrollpt.com relies on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and on the assistive technologies you may be using being interoperable with that combination. This site is designed to be usable with JavaScript disabled: every page's core content and both booking forms work without it.

Feedback. If any part of this website is difficult to use, tell us. Email info@carrollpt.com or call (973) 366-1600 and describe the page and the problem. We respond to accessibility feedback within 5 business days, and if something needs fixing, we'll let you know what we did about it.
