Meet the People Who Will Treat You.

A growing team of licensed physical therapists, and the front desk team that keeps both offices running. Dan Carroll opened this practice over 10 years ago so he could work the way he thought physical therapy should be worked: find the cause, say it in plain language, then fix it. Everyone on this page works that way.

He tried the corporate model first. It did not fit.

"I quickly found their approach to patient care did not align with my core values."

Dan Carroll grew up in Rockaway, went to Morris Hills High School, then the University of Scranton. After graduation he enrolled in a manual therapy certification program with the Manual Therapy Institute and went on to complete their AAOMPT credentialed Manual Therapy Fellowship. He later certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation through the American Institute of Balance.

He has always worked in private practice. The first stop was a larger private corporate group, and it did not last. He moved from practice to practice after that, looking for one that was well run and matched what he believed about treating people.

He found it. That owner became his mentor, and helped him open a practice of his own. "I am happy to be in business serving my community for over 10 years."

He still runs it for the autonomy and the control, because "both allow me the ability to make the best decisions for my patients, my colleagues, my business, and my family." Ask him which condition he most enjoys treating and he will not name one: "it's not the condition that is enjoyable, it's the patient who is committed to the process that makes it fun." Two lines he keeps in front of him: "If you aim at nothing, you'll hit it all the time," and "The wake doesn't drive the boat."

PT should be simple.

"All too often we over complicate
things unnecessarily."

Dan Carroll's method is three moves, and he states it plainly: move that which is stiff, strengthen and condition that which is weak, stabilize that which is less controlled. His stated goal is to make a patient's concerns less complex and empower them to take an active approach to getting better. You cannot take an active approach to a problem nobody has explained to you, which is why the explanation comes first here. The values he lists for the practice are just as short: trust, commitment, understanding.

Move What Is Stiff

Hands-on manual therapy on the joints and tissue the exam actually flagged, not wherever it happens to ache that morning. Motion comes back before load goes on.

Strengthen What Is Weak

Then we condition the tissue that gave out, until it can take real load again. Not a printed list handed over at the door, a progression you work through with your therapist watching.

Stabilize What Is Less Controlled

The last piece is control. When your body stops guarding and starts managing the load on its own, the pattern that caused this has nothing left to rebuild on.

The people in your corner.

A growing team of licensed physical therapists, backed by a front desk team at both offices. Every clinician who treats you is a licensed physical therapist, with training that goes well past the license. No aides, no handoffs. Tap a name to read the full bio.
